  • Needle Felting

Needlefelting is a type of felting in which you repeatedly stab wool with a specific type of needle that snags strands of wool and knots them together tightly, resulting in a solid piece. I started needlefelting in 2020 around the beginning of the pandemic, and I have only made animals and Pokemon. I have made cats, dogs, penguins, bees, ladybugs, rats, raccoons, and bears, and in terms of Pokemon I have made Growlithe, Oshawott, Snivy, Dratini, Pikachi, Ukulele Pichu, Zubat, and Galarian Zigzagoon. A big con of needlefelting is accidentally poking your finger, as being poked by a needle is never fun but especially one that is covered in wool. Luckily many needlefelting kits provide finger protectors to prevent this, and they work pretty well, although I have still poked myself right between the seams of the finger protectors.
